Starting Your Own Membership Site – Does This Suit You?
Do you want to create a membership site but you are not quite sure how to start and how to arrange the building blocks of your site to be a smashing success? These days, everybody seems to be a member of some sort of website, and they even invite their friends to join them in their virtual life, too.
When you search on the Internet membership sites, you will find that some offer you membership free of charge, while others will try to get various amounts of money out of your pocket if you decide to sign up for them. So, how can you decide which way to go about your own membership site? Are the free ones more popular, but they do not return you much revenue, or the ones that charge their members a fee for sharing exclusive information with them?
It is not difficult to set up a membership site, because its structure is simple. The following points should give you enough information to help you decide if a membership site is the right option for you in your pursuit to make money online from the coziness of your home:
1. Have you got a great, unique topic to offer to your presumptive members? If yes, check first how popular that topic is. How many times and how many people searched the Internet for the keywords related to your topic? If the search engines show you that there is a great interest for your topic but not enough information provided by other sites, then you are on the right track.
2. Choose a domain name that shows to people at a glance what your site is about. This will make you more visible to search engines and improve your rankings.
3. Create the content, install on your site password protection for certain pages of your site, a system for billing of your members which can be easily handled by you, and decide the way to communicate with your members: within the site, or via email.
4. Allow the members to interact with each other within your site and make sure you are always open to valuable suggestions coming from your members.
From now on, the decision is yours. If you think this is the right path for you, do not waste another minute and start planning your success now.

How To Find The Best Membership Site Software

Discover the #1 Secret to finding the best membership site software. Check out this FREE report that tells you… MEMBERSHIP SITE SOFTWARE
Membership Site Software Puts You in Control – Take Advantage of This Hot Technique
Membership sites are all the rage for internet marketing today. Paid content, downloads and e-courses can all be secured by using a membership script. There are many advantages to using these types of programs. Here are a few:
Reason 1- it allows you to control the delivery of your product or content. If you are running your own membership site software you are in charge of who can log in and who cannot. Most of the membership site products allow access to the content only after payment through a third-party processor like PayPal or Clickbank. The software allows you to set your price, and the length of time you will allow access to the content.
Reason 2 – Membership site software allows for recurring income. With some sites collecting monthly or annual membership fees, your site can be a good source of recurring revenue. You need to be sure that you keep updating the content of your membership site regularly, so the users will be getting a good value for their money.
Reason 3 – you stop being dependent on other people’s products for your online income. Membership site software allows you to distribute your own content – you control the content and ultimately determine the value your customers get for their investment. With this responsibility, you get the benefit of being in control of your own destiny. You will not be at the mercy of a product vendor, as is the case with affiliate marketers.
Create valuable content, put it on the web and charge for the access. It’s the membership site model and is working well for smart marketers all over the web.

One Huge Membership Site Or Lots of Little Ones?
When you are putting together your membership and hashing out the exact solution you’re going to provide, you’re probably confused about should you cover everything or should you cover only one specific problem. In other words, should you create one huge membership site or should you put out lots of little ones.
Now, normally when I create one-off products, I just like to say one problem, one solution. But when you’re making a membership site, it can get really crazy, especially if you offer things like upsells and different extra offers. People have to log in to these different membership sites.
The cool thing about a lot of membership software, such as Wishlist Member, is that if somebody already has an account and they purchase access to an additional member level, like an extra product, they can click on a special link and have that extra level applied to their existing account. For that reason, I would recommend to you that for a recurring membership, I would only create one membership per sub-niche.
Now, what’s a sub-niche? A sub-niche is a niche within a niche. This means that I would never have a membership just internet marketing. That’s too big of a space. But I would have a membership covering everything I know about list building. That way, if I have upsells about list building, people use the same exact membership site. That way, I have enough content to charge up to $97 per month for access to that. Have one membership site per sub-niche.
But the problem with having one site for all of your information is that it will be hard to navigate. Another example, I am also in the programming niche that includes things such as PHP, WordPress, JavaScript. Would I have one membership site for all things in programming? No way. I would have one membership site for PHP, one membership site for WordPress, and one membership site for JavaScript. You kind of have to have a membership site that’s not so big, that you can’t explain it, you can’t give an elevator pitch for. These would be small enough that you can give an elevator pitch, but big enough that you can store multiple products and charge a recurring monthly fee.
Now, think about this. Think about the drip content. If you give a product that has extra bonuses, extra lessons dripped out, think about how confusing that would be if somebody joined the site about internet marketing, which again is far too big of area for you to have a site about and for the first, where they got list building week one, they got product creation week one, they got article writing week one, they got site building week one, they got AdSense week one – all the stuff that’s flooding into that, it would be very confusing. But if you had a site just about site building, then you could very easily give them week one, week two, and week three lessons.
Keep those rules in mind when deciding if you want to have one huge site or lots of little ones. Pick a niche and then for each sub-niche within that, create a membership but don’t go too small or too big – because if you make a site too small, people will have to join multiple sites, and if you make it too big, people won’t be able to find anything once they joined your site.

How To Have A Successful Membership Site Every Time

Discover the #1 Secret to having a successful membership site every time. Check out this FREE report that tells you how… HOW TO BUILD A MEMBERSHIP SITE
What Are the Usual Membership Site Mistakes?
If you’ve made a mistake in something, chances are a lot of people have already made the same mistakes before you. But the reason why you made the mistake is because you never heard about it and history repeated itself. I want you to avoid membership site mistakes. I want you to launch a membership site, make it profitable and keep making membership sites forever because membership sites for me are the easiest way to make money.
Here are three very important membership site mistakes for you to avoid right now – pricing too low, not marketing enough, and choosing the wrong niche.
How can you price too low? This idea goes over many people’s heads because pricing too low attracts the wrong customers. It attracts the impulse by customers and the cheapskate customers, not the good ones that you want. Pricing low does not guarantee everyone’s going to buy in your membership site. In fact, many times when I’ve doubled my price, I have increased my sales. Kind of counter intuitive, isn’t it? But it’s true.
Instead of pricing low, price high and market yourself better. Believe in yourself more. Promote yourself more and write a better sales letter to convince people that this higher price is worth much more than their going to pay. They get much more out of the membership site than they put in.
Speaking of marketing, are you getting enough traffic? Do you have new people getting on your list everyday? Are you paying for traffic? If you answered no to any of those questions, then you are not marketing your site enough.
We’ve all fallen into that trap. It’s just so easy to create a new membership site, to make new products instead of marketing the site you already have. But you’re going to get more money for your effort if you market the stuff you already have. Get yourself out there, always you making new joint venture connections, always be getting new people on your list and always have new sources or traffic.
The final membership mistake is a flaw in the membership site itself. Did you choose the wrong niche? Did you choose a niche such as coupons or people are just not willing to pay money to get access to coupons? Did you choose a niche that you are not allowed to do business in such as gambling because of regulations or did you choose a niche that’s not ongoing? For example, to treat someone’s yeast infection – once they’ve solved that problem, no one’s going to want to pay a monthly fee to get more training. The problem has been solved.
A better membership might be the guitar niche. You can always get more guitar instruction and there are always new songs to learn, new techniques to learn, new types of guitars to learn, new equipment to learn. That’s an example of a great niche that’s always ongoing.
I hope that helped you today to avoid the most common membership mistakes that occur over and over again – pricing too low, not marketing enough and choosing the wrong niche.

Tips On Getting Your Membership Site Noticed Fast

Discover the #1 Secret to getting your membership site noticed fast. Check out this FREE report that tells you how… HOW TO BUILD A MEMBERSHIP SITE
Strategies To Get Your Membership Site Noticed Fast
If you want to make money with your membership site, you have to get it noticed. The faster the word gets out, the faster you’ll begin making money. Here are five strategies to get you noticed faster than a streaker at a soccer game.
Provide Free Information. This is a superior strategy to get folks to your web site, however you have a fine line to walk. Too much free info and there’s no benefit to joining your site. Not enough and you don’t give potential members enough of a complimentary preview.
Of course, if you don’t offer quality information then you’ll lose potential members anyway. So make sure that the information you offer is fantastic. You want your free information to be so good that visitors pass it along to others.
Give folks a peek inside with a free trial membership. Trial memberships hook readers! Not only do they instill confidence, once customers get an inside look at all that you have to offer they will want to sign up immediately. Consider also, making certain items on your website available only to ‘permanent subscribers.’ This type of feature works as a tease. Of course, don’t overdo it. You want trial members to be able to access a lot of your site.
Viral Marketing Miracles. Give free reports and even ebooks to affiliates to give away. This report will include the affiliate’s unique ID and any sales made through that report will be credited to the affiliate. It’s a great way to get people to spread the word about your membership site.
Remember that if you want to drive traffic to your site, the ebooks and reports that you give away MUST be excellent.
Article Marketing Mania. Article directories are a wonderful way to drive traffic to your membership site. They help to establish your credibility and they give potential subscribers a peek inside the offerings at your site. Also use article marketing to help build a top notch opt-in list. Always include a link back to your website or sales page.
Fabulous Forums, blogs, and chat rooms. Forums, chat rooms, and blog posts are a good way to get the word out quickly about your membership site. Most forums, chat rooms, and even blogs will allow you to place a link back to your website in your signature link. Consider that many of the people you speak to in these venues may not be ready to purchase but they will be a good resource in the future – if you collect their information.

What Price Should I Charge For My Membership Site?
Most people who run membership sites price their access way too low and that is a big mistake. You need to price your membership site at a point where there is resistance, where you have to do actually work a little bit to get that sale. And the reason for that is because even when you double your membership price, you usually don’t have to work twice as hard to get that sale.
Imagine if you had a thousand members in a membership site paying $20 a month and you suddenly realized that they would have paid $50 a month. You didn’t have to do any extra work, you just had to change one number and yet you didn’t. So you should be pricing your membership site at the highest price the market will bear. That based the question, “What should you charge for your membership site?”
You should charge at least $197 for live training, at least $97 per month for weekly video training and at least $27 per month for monthly video training. Do you offer live training? If so, do yourself a favor and price at $197 or above. I come across too many people who work so hard and run a live webinars, teleseminars, call-in days, personal critiques and then they’re only charging $47 a month or $97 a month and it’s just terrible.
If you’re doing this kind of a live training course, if it’s monthly, charge $200 a month or higher – always be working to increase your coaching rate. If this is just a fixed-term class like a four week class then charge a flat fee of $200 or higher. And when I say higher, I’m serious – $197 is the bare minimum you should be charging for a live training course because your e-books and your video courses have to be priced a little bit less than that. If you’re coaching’s already priced so low, how are you going to justify pricing your e-books even lower? Please remember your time is valuable, charge $200 or more for live training.
If you’re offering weekly video training, a new lesson every week then you should be charging $97 per month. This means somebody gets four lessons every week and maybe a few reminders which is more than enough to justify a $100 a month. That’s $25 per lesson and whether that $25 covers an hour lesson or a half an hour lesson that is a really good deal.
It’s a little bit lower than the live coaching because you are not presenting these as live webinars. These are videos you recorded for, maybe they’re videos recorded in response to comments on your membership site but there is no live interaction other than the ability to leave comments. So charge $100 at least per month for these weekly videos.
Now, what if we have a smaller membership site? What if we have some short videos or let’s just say one impactful lesson per month? You should be charging a bare minimum of $27 per month. Again, I see people set up membership sites and they’re so scared they only charge $5 or $9 for an entire month’s worth of access and they do it because they don’t believe in their own information.
Do whatever you have to do, just psyche yourself up, get proof, get testimonials, get reviews, get case studies but find a way to justify a higher price because usually you don’t have to do a lot of extra work other than typing in a new number. When pricing your membership site, price $200 or more for live training, $100 per month or more for weekly video training and $30 per month or more for monthly video training.

Make Money Online With Affiliate Sales and Membership Sites
“Make Money Online” $22,640.39 in one day. That’s what came into my e-mail box the other day. I thought “Boy, That’s right on time too. I could use Twenty Grand tomorrow.”
You’ve heard it all. I know. But still “Thousands” of people, “Hundreds of Thousands” of people are turning to the Internet to make money online. The reasons are as many as there are web pages. But, If you don’t know what you are looking for, it can be difficult to find. You know what you want. You want an income stream. You want money in your bank account.
Let me tell you how this goes just for the heck of it. You see, I’ve been on the Internet since right about when Al Gore Invented it. I’ve already lost a lifes’ savings looking for the same thing you are. A simple and effective way to pull cash from the Internet consistently. An honest and productive way to make money online. You don’t have to make the same mistakes I did. You can just go right to the good stuff and do it.
Now, have I said anywhere that you can make Ten Thousand in the next month or $22,640.39 in one day? No. Because that’s about as likely as a Pink Elephant in your bedroom. I know they all make those claims but can you show me anybody who’s really made that kind of money? Usually these are abnormal instances. What I mean is, not everyone starts out making $20,000 per day. It’s usually more like $30 the first day and $90 or $180 the next, and then it builds from there depending on how hard you work at it when you first start to make money online. Make Sense?
Once you get your online business up and running though, It doesn’t take long before you start to see a considerable improvement in your financial situation when you make money online. That is, if you follow the instructions and do what is suggested.
Affiliate Marketing
The easiest and quickest way to get started making money is with Affiliate Marketing. You simply write and post an ad that sells someone elses product and you get paid a commission on the sales. Both of you make money online with affiliate sales. Of course it’s not quite as simple as that. You have to know how to find the right product to sell and how to effectively advertise that product so you can make money online. There’s no quicker, cheaper way to get started than with affiliate sales.
Membership Sites
Make money online with a membership site which provides recurring sales in the form of membership fees and also gives you a targeted customer base where you can promote new products. Customers come back every month and you make money online every month. If you have a Hundred members each paying Fifty dollars per month, that’s Five thousand per month. Five Hundred members, Fifty Thousand per month.
Using our brains to make money online
Affiliate sales and membership sites are the Two of the best ways to make money on the Internet. Affiliate sales equals money right now. And membership sites provide money for the long term.
At my site you’ll find the right program, the right tools, and the right training all at the right price. If you follow the instructions you WILL be making money in just a couple of days. You’re not going to break the bank in the first week. But you will establish an income stream that will support you and your family graciously. For the rest of your life you can make money online.

What Payment Processor Should I Use For My Membership Sites?
Believe it or not, you can’t simply create a webpage and magically take credit card payments when you want somebody to join your one time or recurring membership site. You have to use an additional service that will take credit card payments for you and tell your membership software that you need to let somebody into your site. But which one should you use? It seems like there are hundreds and there are new payment processors popping up everyday so which one should you use?
I prefer to use PayPal for simple payments, ClickBank for affiliate payments and 1ShoppingCart if I wanted to have a merchant account. Let’s talk about each of the three.
In my opinion, PayPal is one of the easiest payment processors to use because you don’t have to go through a lot of hoops just to get established. You do need to create a PayPal account that people can click a button and either pay you through their PayPal account or enter in their credit card details. PayPal processes the transaction and puts the money into your account. Then it’s up to you to figure out how to get paid if you want to get paid from a check or direct deposit but the money goes through PayPal.
You do not actually have to create a merchant account, they do it for you. You can create a payment plan on a moments notice and you are not restricted about what kind of things you sell. For example, when you create a merchant account you have to establish what type of business you have.
If you want to have a seminar business, you have to say in your merchant account that you are a seminar offline business. Then if you want to take payments for e-books, guess what? You need to create a different merchant account – kind of inconvenient, right? But with PayPal, you simply take payments.
The only flaw with PayPal is that they do not have an affiliate program. For this, I use ClickBank. ClickBank has a built in affiliate program so if you sell something using the ClickBank payment processor, anybody else can sign up as an affiliate, refer people and get paid a commission. The great thing about ClickBank is that they get paid and they pay out affiliates before you even get paid so they deal with all the tax issues that is completely out of your hair.
The only downside of ClickBank is they are very generous with their refund policy. Therefore, I only take some payments on ClickBank, only those when I want to have some affiliate sales.
If your membership business really takes off and you want to have lower fees, more controls and advanced features such as one-click upsells or email lead tagging then I recommend 1ShoppingCart. 1ShoppingCart is great because they combine an autoresponder with a shopping cart so you can run basically your whole business from one central location.
That’s the payment processor you should use for your membership site. Just starting off, use PayPal for your membership site. If you want to have an affiliate program then create a ClickBank account as well and in the future if your business really takes off, use the 1ShoppingCart service.

Start A Paid Membership Site In Under An Hour With Easy Website Creator

Discover the #1 Secret to starting a paid membership site in under an hour. Check out this FREE report that tells you the best software to use… HOW TO CREATE A MEMBERSHIP WEBSITE
Start a Paid Membership Site in Under an Hour
Yes, it is possible to set up your entire membership site in under one hour. I’ve done it a number of times! And you can, too. You just have to be sure to use the right membership software and then decide on your membership model. And remember, you don’t have to fill your site with content when you start; you just have to stay one month ahead of your oldest members.
If you are starting your first paid membership site, then consider starting small. So many people with awesome ideas get scared off before they start by the idea of having to create loads of content each week or month forever. The never-endingness of it all just seems like too much. But you don’t have to spend days (or weeks or months) to create a membership site that goes on and on. In fact, it’s probably better – and more profitable – if you don’t.
The industry average for length of membership of a typical member is 3 to 4 months. That means that even if you have a membership website that has 24 months of content, your average customer won’t ever get beyond month 4. You may have some fanatical fans who join and pay you forever, but most of your members will quit around month 3 or 4, with some stopping their membership before that time, and a few sticking around longer. It’s just the way it is…
So instead of starting a paid membership site that will add new content every month with no end in sight, plan to set up a smaller, focused site. Do you have a product you deliver digitally? Great! Put it inside a membership site. Perhaps you have a series of lessons you teach on a topic. That’s another great membership site right there. Instead of getting access to all of the content when they log in (like your digital download site), they get content dripped to them over a few weeks or months.
When it takes you under an hour to set up your site, including adding your initial content, it’s no big deal to use membership sites in many ways in your business. We set up a membership site routinely behind most of our product opt-in and sales pages now, and deliver the related products from there. Our sites are all set up on WordPress blogs, so they are super simple to create and it’s very easy to add content to them as needed. Then we add a membership software solution on top of that WordPress blog that works seamlessly with it to manage our memberships. And we can do it all in under one hour, from buying the domain name to installing WordPress and setting it up, installing the membership software, and loading our first content.

How To Create A Membership Site Today

Discover the #1 Secret to creating a membership site today… Check out this FREE report that tells you how… MEMBERSHIP SITE CREATOR
Why Should I Create a Membership Site Now Instead of Later?
You should create a membership site now instead of later for three very important reasons. The technology is easy to use now, the competition is not yet crowded as it will be, and there is a very little regulation at the moment which means more freedom for you.
At this point of history, it’s easier than ever to create a membership site. WordPress, the best blogging software available is free and all the bugs have been taken out of it. It is very popular. There are new add-ons such as membership site add-ons which easily allow you to store your user, store your content and have your site in one centralized location.
Bandwidth is now very fast and cheap so it’s easy to share video and things like video cameras. Video recording software is also cheap and easier than ever for any novice to start using so the technology for creating the content and holding the content is easy.
Competition is also not as crowded as it will be. Remember when you were special if you had a website? Remember when you were special if you had a blog? These days everybody has a Twitter, a blog, a website and if you sell things on the Internet, everyone has an affiliate program as well.
In the future, it’s no longer going to be anything special if you have a recurring membership site. There is simply going to be too much competition. At this point, there is not a lot of competition. This is the perfect time, right now to make a membership site because you have the technology and not a lot of competition.
What about regulation? It seems like every few months you hear about some new regulation between the states of the United States, the Federal Government, the FTC or even individual companies like Visa and MasterCard. Do you think in the future, Internet marketing and membership sites and recurring membership sites in particular are going to get less regulated or more regulated?
The answer is they’re going to get more regulated as more businesses use the Internet as the government tries to figure out more ways to tax you and establish laws telling you what not to do. That hasn’t happened yet. There is still very little regulation on the Internet so if you have an idea for a membership site, you’re going to have it made in a few days and selling in a few days and test it in a few days and not have to fill out a bunch of paperwork.
